Welcome to Knight’s Cabin’s new President, Martin Mudryk!

by Patricia Graham

Last month our Board of Directors welcomed Martin Mudryk as a Board member and today we are excited to announce he is now Knight’s Cabin’s new President! We look forward to working with Martin who, along with deep passion for our mission, brings in depth knowledge of managing non-profits and fundraising to the organization.

Martin has a Science degree and recently complimented this with a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Alberta and the Not for Profit (NFP) Governance Essentials Program through the Rotman School of Management.

He is a certified environmental, health and safety professional and has experience supporting US and Canadian operations within the oil, gas, utility and forestry industries. Martin is well versed in the fight against cancer as his family’s charities the Bryan Mudryk Golf Classic and 100K4theCross Bike Ride which benefit the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton has raised close to $2 million dollars since their inception.

PTC, or ‘prior to children’, Martin used to participate in many cool activities such as AA baseball, putting himself through post-secondary by playing in a country band, being part of the Ukrainian folk band Kalabai whose album release ‘Hopaks & Baniaks’ was nominated for ‘World Recording of the Year’ at the Western Canadian Music Awards, being a Death Race survivor six times, and attempting to complete his bucket list of running a minimum of 2 miles in every state and province within North America. But now he simply spends his time with his beautiful wife signing cheques and paying extremely inflated VISA bills for the privilege of hanging out in hockey and lacrosse rinks across the nation cheering on his two boys who passionately play a game they love. And he wouldn’t want it any other way!
